5. Example of an OVAX decision table
The general framework of the OVAX methodology is summarised in the picture below, where the "Timing" is shown as the Retirement Life Season in this example:
An example of a detailed OVAX Table for Retirement is given below:
VAach: The level at which the eXperience from a chosen Action achieves a given Value. All measures are in % (range: 0 to 100%).
VAach can be our guesstimate, for example in the case of V3 A2: VAach=11, a low measure because my teaching job leaves little time for exercise (but I can still run to the school or do some exercise in the school gym, that is why this VAach is not zero). This VAach is dependent on the Suitability of Action A2 for Value V3, e.g. the journey to the school, the gym facilities at the school (an objective measure), and on my personal Talents in using these possibilities (a subjective measure). All these interactions are clarified by the OVAX mathematics explained in the next blog.
